Professional Journey:
Tatenda began his legal career at Beryl Holdings Proprietary Limited, a venture capital and private equity firm, where he held various positions including Business and Legal Consultant, Legal Counsel, and Legal Advisor over a period of five years. He then joined Mkhabela Huntley Attorneys Inc., where he spent ten years practicing corporate and commercial law, advising private and public companies, including various state-owned enterprises and government departments. In September 2023, Tatenda joined MBA Incorporated as an Executive in the Corporate and Commercial practice.

- Advised a Johannesburg-based investment company in a ZAR2,2 billion share repurchase transaction.
- Advised a wholly-owned subsidiary of a JSE listed mining company in its joint acquisition of the mining operations business conducted by Exarro at Arnot Mine, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
- Advised a black economic empowerment (BEE) shareholder of a Johannesburg Stock Exchange listed mining company in a ZAR300 million refinancing transaction.
- Advised Public Investment Corporation (PIC) on its ZAR400 million investment in a South African petroleum distribution company.
- Advised a Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed mining company, in its issuance of a ZAR80 million combined claw-back and rights offer.
- Formed part of the team that conducted due diligence investigations and advised and reviewed transaction documents in respect of Transnet SOC Limited’s US$2 billion bond issue implemented under Transnet's US$6 billion Global Medium Term Loan Bond Issue.
- Key member of a team that fund-raised a US$18 million trade finance loan facility from PTA Bank, a Pan-African bank, on behalf of a South African petroleum company.
