NOMONDE is an Associate with 1-year post-admission experience in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.

Professional Journey:

Nomonde completed her articles of clerkship at a boutique law firm in Sandton, Johannesburg. During her articles, Nomonde gained a wealth of experience in the said firm’s Competition and Regulatory department, which included but was not limited to her assisting and participating in a range of legal matters across Commercial Law; Competition Law; Compliance and Regulatory law; Forensic Investigations,; Procurement Law; Administrative Law; General Litigation and Dispute Resolution. She has specific expertise in Competition law related matters as she has been involved in mergers and acquisition filings, competition law litigation and the provision of legal opinions to clients. She then Joined MBA Incorporated as an Associate in 2023 in the Litigation and Regulatory department.

  • Formed part of the advisory team that advised a state-owned entity in relation the proposed port reform measures, including concession agreements in terms of section 45 of the National Ports Act (“Act”) as well as approving long term lease of land within port limits;
  • Formed part of the advisory team assisting the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa in a matter pertaining to the alleged breach of personal information;
  • Formed part of the advisory team assisting a state-owned entity in its liquidation application;
  • Formed part of the advisory team assisting PRASA SOC Ltd in renegotiation of its commercial contracts with service providers;
  • Formed part of the advisory team assisting Airports Company South Africa in providing an opinion the appropriate course of action to be followed by the board of directors of ACSA relating to allegations of possible fraud and/or corruption and/or financial misconduct and/or other unethical conduct.
