MICHAEL is the Managing Partner of MBA Incorporated. He is an admitted attorney with 17 years of post-admission experience and is highly regarded as a local and international thought leader in the legal field.

Michael works across a range of legal practice areas, from Labour & Employment Law, Administrative Law, Media and Regulatory Law to Telecommunications and Constitutional Law. He also has a wealth of experience in Corporate Law and Corporate Governance; however, his passion leans more towards Litigation and Dispute Resolution.

Michael’s extensive post-admission experience spans a wide range of practice areas and fields, including but not limited to:

Involvement in precedent-setting matters in the High Court and Constitutional Court of South Africa, such as ‘Inxeba, The Wound,’ ‘The Spear Painting,’ matter and the ‘CIEX Report,’ amongst others.
Providing insightful analysis on contemporary legal matters through legal forums and media engagements as a sought-after commentator, Michael is a former host of the award-winning 'The Law Report' show on Kaya FM.
Currently acting as a Judge of the Labour Court.

Experience Highlights:

Acted for MICT SETA in the suspension of its former CEO, and the subsequent dispute before both the CCMA and Labour Court
Acted for and advised the Public Protector of South Africa in respect of her powers to issue warrants in respect of persons who fail to adhere to her instructions.
Advising client on the rights of creditors and the options available to the creditors following failed business rescue proceedings by the debtor
Assisting Southern African Music Rights Organisation (“SAMRO”) in making submissions on the Draft Copyright Bill
Advised the Composers, Authors and Publishers Association (“CAPASSO”) on matters relating to but not limited to Subscription Video on Demand (“SVOD”) and Transactional Video on Demand (“TVOD”)
