Professional Journey:

Anchané commenced her legal journey when she joined a Boutique Law firm in Northriding specialising in Entertainment Law as a Candidate Attorney. During her articles, she was exposed to general practice areas including family and labour law in the period between 2014 to 2016. After her admission as an Attorney of the High Court in 2016, she was offered an Associate Attorney position and remained at this firm until April 2017 whereafter she sought to broaden her skillset.

From 2017 to May 2024, Anchané held a General Practicing Attorney position at a different boutique law firm where she gained experience in various fields of law which included Family Law, Criminal Law, Labour Law, Litigation both in the Magistrate’s and High Court, Corporate and Commercial Law and attending to all Correspondent matters to name but a few.

  • Acted on behalf of, and as part of the Legal Team, for employees against the South African Revenue Services (SARS) in a matter relating to whistleblowing in terms of Section 9 of the Protected Disclosures Act 26 of 2000 and unfair dismissal in terms of Section 187(1)(h) and Section 189 of the Labour Relations Act 66 of 1995 in the Labour Court.
  • Instituted actions and applications on behalf of Transnet SOC Ltd in the High Court.
  • Attended to and appeared in various litigious matters from inception to finalization in the Magistrate’s Courts and High Court.
  • Drafted, reviewed and advised on various commercial contracts on behalf of clients.
  • Appeared in legal teams in various fora such as the High Court, Labour Court and CCMA.
